You can, and cheap hosting is genuinely cheap. What you’re buying here is the part nobody enjoys: updates that break things, backups nobody tested, and the security patch that needed applying last Tuesday.
Three packages, and the honest summary is that Basic keeps the site online while Standard and Premium keep it looked after.
Basic – £50 a month. Plugin licences, SSL, CDN, uptime monitoring and daily backups. 2.5GB of storage and 25,000 visits a month. It suits teams happy to run their own updates who just want the infrastructure handled.
Standard – £125 a month. Adds the maintenance layer: daily plugin updates and vulnerability monitoring, WordPress security and maintenance updates, enterprise-grade firewall, DDoS mitigation, Argo smart routing and simple site fixes. 5GB of storage, 50,000 visits, and 15 minutes a week of content changes.
Premium – £200 a month. Everything in Standard with 10GB of storage, 75,000 visits and 30 minutes a week of content time.
Our monitoring checks your site every one to five minutes, so we usually know before you do.
For a real outage we investigate, restore from backup if that’s the fastest way back, and tell you what happened. For a server hiccup that clears itself in a few minutes, we deal with it quietly rather than sending an incident report you’d stop reading by the third one.
No. We’ll audit an existing site first to check it’s in a fit state to take on, and tell you honestly if it needs work before migration.
We update on a staging copy first and check it before anything reaches your live site. When something slips through anyway, the daily backup means we’re rolling back in minutes rather than rebuilding.
15 minutes a week on Standard, 30 on Premium – text changes, swapping an image, adding a page. Basic doesn’t include it.
It’s a courtesy rather than a retainer, so it flexes with what else is running that week. Anything larger we’ll quote as a small project so it gets proper attention instead of being squeezed into a support ticket.
New features, redesigns, and anything that’s really a development project wearing a support ticket’s clothing. We’ll tell you when a request has crossed that line and quote it properly.
Hosting runs for an initial twelve months from launch, then rolls over. To end it, give us written notice at least 30 days before the current period ends.
You’ll get a full backup of your site and database. We can help your new host with the migration, but it’s chargeable, and we won’t take it on for server environments we don’t know – you’re better served there by someone who does.
